Divyang Seva at Hyderabad on Occasion of World White Cane Day (15 Oct.)

On the occasion of International White cane Day, 15th October 2018, awareness programme was held at Hyderabad by Govt. of Telengana in association with Brahma Kumaris. Near about 1500 person participated in this programme. A rally was taken out, where all the participants blind folded with black cotton cloth and carrying white sticks walked for 1.5 KM on the arterial Road .The rally ended at national Academy of Construction, Madhapur ,Hyderabad. The Chief Guest, Smt. Shailaja, IAS, Commissioner, inaugurated the Divyang Stall with other Dignitaries. Brother Suryamani, National Coordinator for Divyang Seva, Mount Abu, HQ of Brahma Kumaris explained the services rendered by the organization for social upliftment and Spiritual empowerment of differently abled person, specifically Hearing and Visually impaired persons. All the dignitaries along with 1500 participants visited the Divyang Stall where among other highlights of seva, devices developed for communication was displayed. They were made aware of our dedicated service extended to differently abled persons. The dignitaries expressed their views to the media before the august gathering. All others conveyed their good wishes and thanked for the efforts made by the Brahma Kumaris for differently abled persons.

Brother Alexey Talai differently able inspirational speaker from Russia was the Guest of Honour motivated the gathering by saying – we may have differently abled body but we are the same Soul and son of   the same Supreme Soul. Some part of the body may not function but apart from that we can do whatever we want. Disability will never be a barrier in the path of progress.

At the end everybody celebrated Bathukamma festival which signifies the tradition and ethics of Telengana and to unite together to make the society better. The differently abled persons also participated in the dance performed by participants from 21 Countries and enjoyed the festival. It gives them much needed   moral support and they feel they can do anything.

A clear message goes to the World that Brahma Kumaris are with the differently abled person and with their dedicated service enable them to meet the challenges of life as well as to be self- sufficient to lead a life with self dignity.

On the occasion of International Day for Persons with Disability, 3rd December
2023, a two days programme is organised “ In Hope : I dare Divya Utsav” by Social
welfare Department & Director of Education, Delhi Govt. for 4th -5th Dec. 2023 at
Tyagraj Stadium. Brahmakumaris Divyang Seva Department was also invited to
participate in this programme. Above 6000 Divyang children of surrounding
schools of Delhi participated in this programme. Godly service done by
Brahmakumaris Head Quarter displayed in this exhibition. Three motivational
songs prepared by Brahmakumaris released by the Commissioner for persons
with Disabilities. Minister of State for Social Justice and Welfare, Commissioner,
Director of Persons with Disability were pre present in this programme. All guests
visited the stall of Brahmakumaris and appreciated the efforts of Brahmakumaris.

Grand Valedictory of ‘I Can Do it’ Campaign for Divyang

Organised by Brahma Kumaris

 

To bring motivation and rejuvenation amongst Divyang Children, a month-long Campaign titled ‘I Can Do it’ was organised in Telangana State by Brahma Kumaris organisation. In this period, 15 districts are covered benefiting about 4500 divyang children. The Grand Valedictory programme is organised on Sat, 17-12-22 at Global Peace Auditorium, Shanti Sarovar campus, Gachibowli Hyderabad.

Also, a special EDUTAINMENT EXPO is organised with several creative games. About 25 stalls are arranged to help children learn values through entertainment. Children liked the stalls very much.

Chief Guest, Arvind Kumar garu, IAS – Special Chief Secretary, MA&UD, Government of Telangana appreciated the selfless services of Brahma Kumaris in organising such a beneficial campaign. He also mentioned that the Government is helping Divyang by giving 4% reservation in jobs. He said  an exclusive Theme Park for Divyang will be built soon. He requested Brahma Kumaris to organise more such programmes.

Rajayogini Kuldeep didi, Director of Brahma Kumaris Shanti Sarovar in her message said that there is lot of power and talent inside Divyang people also. Once efforts are kept in this direction, we can unleash a lot of possibilities.

Divyang Children performed excellent cultural presentations.

Several NGOs were felicitated on this occasion.

Over 1500 participants attended and Brahma Bhojan was also provided to all the participants.

Overall participants enjoyed the whole programme very nicely. They wanted to come to the Shanti Sarovar campus more and more to have spiritual rejuvenation.
